born in Saarbrücken in 1972, is a guitarist and improviser, but also a composer in acoustic and/or electronic contexts, with numerous collaborations and compositions for theatre, dance and film.

Current projects and bands: RADIAN (with Martin Brandlmayr and Manu Mayr), ALSO (duo with Katharina Ernst), TRAPIST (with Martin Brandlmayr and Joe Williamson), DUO SIEWERT/KLEMENT (with Katharina Klement), FAKE THE FACTS (with dieb13 and Mats Gustafsson), THE PEELED EYE (with Boris Hauf, Steve Heather and Christian Weber), Duo BIRGIT MINICHMAYR / MARTIN SIEWERT.

He also works regularly in the field of new music, performing at events such as Wien Modern, Maerzmusik Berlin, ORF musikprotokoll at steirischer herbst, Klangspuren Schwaz, Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik and the Darmstadt Summer Courses. He has released over 60 CDs and performed concerts on five continents.
