Gerald Nestler
is an artist and researcher. In his work, he combines artistic practices such as video, performance, installation, sound and text with theory and forms of conversation. He also develops and curates postdisciplinary formats that interweave art, science, philosophy and other forms of knowledge and experience. In addition to his artistic work, he is active as an author, editor and lecturer. Nestler studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and received the Austrian State Scholarship for Fine Arts. He received his PhD from the Centre for Research Architecture, Goldsmiths, University of London, where he was a researcher at Forensic Architecture. He is a founding member of the Technopolitics research group in Vienna.
