Anna Vasof

is an architect, media, and time-based artist. She studied architecture at the University of Thessaly in Greece and Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Since 2004 her videos and short films have been shown at international festivals, receiving several distinctions. In 2020 she completed her PhD on a cinematographic technique she developed titled Non Stop Stop Motion. She currently designs and builds innovative mechanisms for producing critical videos, films, actions, and installations. Her work is accessible through wit, mischief, and a playful approach to perception. Grounded in genuine experimentation, she explores the core mechanisms of motion and time-based art. She approaches each project from zero, rethinking basic premises through her own lens.
Her works with everyday objects expose social paradoxes and invite us to see the familiar world from new, unexpected perspectives.
